The students in Team 12 are covering the 2013 Iditarod dog sled race across snow covered Alaska. We are following 5 mushers as they brave the cold weather, tough trail conditions, and their race against 66 other mushers across the 1,049 mile long trail.

Each day we check the mushers’ current positions, track their time traveled between checkpoints, see the speed they are traveling, and find out how many dogs they still have on their team. It is a very fun and exciting race that we have really enjoyed learning about.
